‘In Our Words’ is an exciting new project that seeks to bridge the queer non-profit, activist and cultural sectors, in ways that are inclusive and affirming. We hope to create a narrative of our shared history, featuring the stories, creative works and voices of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Ally (LGBTQA) writers, young and old, calling for change within and outside of the LGBTQA community.
For this project The Civil Rights Agenda teamed up with LGBT Change, a grassroots Illinois not-for-profit, and the Queer Intercollegiate Alliance, which is an LGBTQA initiative between Columbia College Chicago, DePaul University, Loyola University Chicago, Northeastern Illinois University, Northwestern University, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Special thanks to our amazing Blog Editors, Nico Lang and Patrick Gill! Check out the blog today, ‘like’ the 'In Our Words' page on Facebook and let us know what you think!
